One is legal, the other banned….

One is legal and the other is banned in the US.

AR-15 assault rifle….

Kinder Surprise Egg…

The latter is banned because it’s a ‘choking hazard’ where as the first is legal.

The Kinder Surprise Egg is enjoyed by many children and adults alike in many European countries. I received one while traveling in Switzerland and it was quite yummy.

I have no problem with the second amendment and think there are plenty of responsible gun owners, but I also believe that there is no place for an AR-15 in the civilian world. It is a military grade weapon and should be reserved for military action alone.

I just think if the government can stand strong against a chocolate and toy, it should also stand strong against letting military weapons in the hands of civilians.  If the government can ban an egg I think it can do more to ban assault weapons.

I don’t want to see police using assault weapons in their day to day activities; I’ve seen it in many European countries and it doesn’t make me feel safer. I’d like to see a ban on assault weapons. They serve no purpose to any civilian.

I grew up in Nebraska and I appreciate the ability to hunt game for food, but I know hunting is highly regulated. When you can kill, what you can kill, the amount you can kill, and the method of killing (rifle/bow&arrow) are all regulated. Let’s honor the human life in the same way that we do hunting. Common sense tells us AR 15 and similar weapons only serve the purpose of killing multiple people in a short period of time and have no place is our civil society.
