Florida Primary 2016..

So today could be the final day for a couple of the candidates, Rubio and Kaisch. The pundits all say that if Kaisch and Rubio do not win their respective home states they must withdraw.  Will tonight be their final night?

For Florida, there are three distinct voting areas. North Florida, where southern values reign supreme (Tallahassee & Jacksonville), South Florida (Miami, Ft Lauderdale) where many transplants from New York and of course Cubans live, to the I-4 corridor (Tampa, St Perersburg, Clearwater, Orlando, Daytona) where the swing votes typically come from. A candidate that wins the I-4 corridor usually wins the state.

Many in this area are transplants from the north, but not necessarily New York. There is a large Puerto  Rican community and a significant senior citizen population too.  For those keeping track, I’m in the important I-4 corridor. So if you’re watching John King on CNN, look out for his commentary on the I-4 corridor. He’ll probably mention Pinellas, Hillsborough, Orange, Seminole and Volusia counties; high population counties in the I-4 corridor.

  Here’s the FL Republican ballot:
